Board of Trustees and Mr. Bird

Room 22
Muritai School
Eastbourne
14.02.12
Dear Board of Trustees and Mr Bird,
I am writing to you to request new desks for Room 22. Our desks are currently scratched, graffitied and damaged.
Firstly, we have tote trays to keep our equipment in. Around the tote tray area can become very crowded when pupils in class need to get equipment out of their trays. It is also very distracting for other pupils in the classroom, including Mrs Allen. This has caused accidents and it is a time waster. Sometimes while we are getting some equipment out of our trays we miss some of the instructions Mrs Allen has given the class, which makes it very confusing.
I believe some of our desks are currently unstable which makes it very for pupils in our class to work. Would you like to work in this way? Also the year 3 to 6 have desks and the Seniors don’t. It is unfair and we deserve to have the too. We are older and have to do much more work than they do. The expectations planned on us are high in the Senior school.
Currently we have 4 different types of desks in our class. They are of different heights, sizes and colours. If we have all the same desks it will look much tidier and it will be a much better learning environment.
We hope you will consider our request because it would make a difference to us. We like to take pride in our classroom but with these desks it just doesn’t look good.
PLEASE MAKE IT HAPPEN!
Yours sincerely,
Ella Littlejohn
